Frequently Asked Questions

How fresh is your coffee?

In order to provide the freshest coffee to your doorstep, we roast coffee after it is ordered. Coffee beans are roasted in small batches by our expert roaster, packaged, and shipped the same day.  (Please note - due to covid19, we are roasting less often and may be carrying a small inventory.  See our blog post for further details.)

Tell me about shipping.

We usually roast and ship on Mondays and Tuesdays so that your coffee is not sitting on a truck over the weekend. You should expect your coffee to arrive two to three days after shipment. To ensure the freshest possible coffee, we only ship to the 48 contiguous United States.

Do you sell whole beans or grounds?

We ship only whole bean coffee. To ensure the best possible experience, please grind it immediately before brewing.

Tell me about your beans.

All of our coffee is organic and fair trade. Our expert roaster determines the best roast profile for each type of bean. Coffee is a seasonal product, so some products may be temporarily unavailable.

How much coffee should I buy?

We encourage you to subscribe to a weekly shipment so that you never run out of your favorite coffee. Each 12oz bag of coffee beans should be enough for 1-2 people for a week.

What if there is a problem with my order?

If your order is not correct or you are not satisfied, please contact us within a week of delivery (coffee@cadena.coffee). We want you to be satisfied and will work with you to make it right.

Because coffee is categorized as a food item, we cannot accept returns. As everyone’s taste is different, we encourage you to try a single bag of coffee before you buy multiple bags of the same type in a single order.
